WHY ARE YOU HERE???

The word workmanship is from the 1984 NIV, New King James, and King James versions. Handiwork is used in the 2011 NIV. One of my favorites is the New Living Translation…Masterpiece.

We are God’s Masterpiece!!!

EPHESIANS 2:10 CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS

When we ask God to forgive our sins and allow the Lord to come into our life, we are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.

Our God did not save us because of our good works; He saved us for good works.

EPHESIANS 2:8 FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED….NOT BY WORKS, SO NO ONE CAN BOAST.

So, how do I find my good works?

EPHESIANS 2:10 WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR YOU TO DO.

Imagine God in heaven. Beside His throne He has a book of good works (He doesn’t need a book). On page???, He has my name and there is a list of good works He wants me to do. It is up to me to seek His guidance and find those good works designed specifically by Him for me. When I do those good works, not only do I receive a tremendous joy, but my God in heaven is also exalted.

God created us to walk with Him and become more like His Son, Jesus Christ. He gave everyone special gifts and His ultimate desire is for us to accomplish His good works. We must be alert to God’s calling and we can only do that if we are continually searching for His will, not ours.
