MONEY!!!

1 TIMOTHY 6:19 MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL.  PEOPLE EAGER FOR MONEY HAVE WANDERED FROM THE FAITH AND PIERCED THEMSELVES WITH MANY GRIEFS.

So many sayings about money.

A wise person should have money in their head, but not in their heart.

MATTHEW 6:21 FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART BE ALSO.

Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants.

Money often cost too much.

MATTHEW 6:24  NO ONE CAN SERVE 2 MASTERS. EITHER HE WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR YOU WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MONEY.

Money never made a man happy nor will it. The more a man has, the more a man wants.

ECCLESIASTES 5:10 WHOEVER LOVES MONEY NEVER HAS ENOUGH; WHOEVER LOVES WEALTH IS NEVER SATIFIED WITH THEIR INCOME.

Dave Ramsey mentioned one of the most important statements of my life. I had listened to many of his talks previously, but the following words have stuck with me for years….

God owns everything!!!

So simple if we can grasp this principle. Our lives will be so much simpler. Many times, I selfishly think, “I earned this money; it’s mine therefore, I can do whatever I want!” But God gave me all the abilities I possess to achieve or earn anything.
