How Do We Become Prosperous?
Deuteronomy 30:5 He will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you say the word prosperous?
Webster defines prosperous;
- Auspicious, favorable
- Marked by success or economic wellbeing and
- Enjoying vigorous and healthy growth: flourishing
So becoming prosperous could mean becoming wealthy but it can also mean flourishing in God’s Spirit.
Which would you rather have?
So how do we become prosperous?
Deuteronomy 30:8-9 You will again obey the Lord and follow all His commands I am giving you today. Then the Lord you God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb
We become prosperous by being obedient…..Obedient to what?
Joshua 1:8 “Do not let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth. Meditate on it day and night and be careful to do everything in it.”
God made a promise to us if we were obedient to His words.
Joshua 1:8 “Then you will be prosperous and successful”.
Psalm 10:5 His ways are always prosperous
