1 Samuel 18:1

“Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself”

When you read this, I will be on my annual Canadian fishing trip.

This will be the first time in 25 years I have been here without my best friend Al.

So many memories

Every time we went out, we would stop fishing and just float in the lake and feel God’s presence.

God’s gentle breeze, His majestic sky, everything was His handiwork

We honored God for allowing us to feel Him and know Him

We praised Him for the Holy Spirit dwelling within us

We had a lot of quiet moments while we floated

The silence would be broken when we would pray and thank God for all our blessings and our friendship.

A very special time with an extraordinary friend

A bonding, not only with each other but with God

We could hear God whisper “Enjoy my creation.”

I miss you Al

But I know you are in a better place

You are probably floating in a boat with Jesus
