ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

1 TIMOTHY 6:18 DO GOOD, BE RICH IN GOOD DEEDS, AND BE GENEROUS AND WILLING TO SHARE.

My wife and I were discussing what we wanted for Christmas. We paused for several seconds and neither of us had a request. The next question was,

“What do you need?” We both realized there was nothing we really needed.

ROMANS 12:13 SHARE WITH GOD’S PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED.

My Bible study group was searching for a single mom who needed some help. We found a mom that was struggling with electric and water bills, and our group chipped in and helped her out.

How did we find her? We searched for her!!!

I was amazed when we sought out people in NEED. We asked one family what they needed for Christmas. They responded, “We could use some blankets. Our house is so cold!”

Where do you find people in NEED?

Priority #1…..Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom. The Lord already has someone in mind for you to help.

EPHESIANS 2:10 WE ARE GOD’S WORKMANSHIP CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO.

The second place to look is at your church. Most churches have a benevolence committee or person in charge. Talk to friends and family and ask if they are aware of anyone in NEED!! Prisoner’s Hope, Brooklawn, Mary Hurst, and many other organizations are desperately looking for support.

Everyone gets so busy for Christmas. This Christmas I was not totally focused on OUR family and OUR presents. We realized the tremendous need right here in our community.

PHILIPPIANS 2:4 EACH OF YOU SHOULD LOOK NOT ONLY TO YOUR OWN INTERESTS, BUT ALSO TO THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.
