GOLF VS. LIFE!!!

6 years ago, I had to quit playing golf because of a pinched nerve in my back that would not cooperate with my fluid golf swing. Several surgeries (not brain) have finally allowed me to play again.  So, this past Nov., I slowly started back, and it was not pretty. However, I told my old golfing buddies……

I’LL BE BACK!!!!

My game finally came to life a few months ago and I had some very promising scores. Of course, my hopes were extremely high especially since I am playing from the absolute closest tees to the green (Yes, ladies’ tees).

I played with my granddaughter and her boyfriend on Friday, and it was an absolute disaster. They both played well, and I was embarrassed to be on the same course with them. However, we had a good time and, on the way home I paused and evaluated the situation.

After analyzing my swing deficiencies, I realized how blessed I am to walk on a golf course, much less play. How could I possibly be upset after God has healed my bionic body? It was time to order some humble pie!!

I complain about trials but eventually, I review all the blessings my Lord has bestowed on me. Scripture reveals my most important ones….

4. HOLY BIBLE…PROVERBS 30:5 EVERY WORD OF GOD IS FLAWLESS

5. WIFE…PROVERBS 5:18 LET YOUR WIFE BE A FOUNTAIN OF BLESSING FOR YOU.
